Far Heart

Now, we are invited to set an intention for our relationship to those beings who seem distant from us, whether geographically or in terms of relationship or otherwise.

Examples include:

Thanks to Divine Grace, in purity and humility, according to the highest good…

  • I intend to radiate healing kindness to all beings who are distant from me.
  • I intend to see the highest and the best in all beings who are distant from me.
  • I intend to share only blessings with all beings who are distant from me.
  • I intend to honor the divinity and the light in all beings who are distant from me.

Or any intention that resonates with you fully.

This practice transforms us from within in a way that supports healing in our relationship to the world, and to any beings who have seemed to bring us particular challenges. Again, we work with ourselves from within, and our outer relationships just happen to be blessed along the way.

Then place your palms in front of your heart, about six inches away from your heart at a level that is comfortable for you to hold. Now open your arms out to your sides at about a 45-degree angle, and slightly open your palms out in front of you, as if you are both receiving blessings from above and at the same time radiating them outwards to those who are distant from you.

And say, at least three times and preferably for three minutes,

  • May all beings who are far from me be safe and happy and healthy, and may they live at ease.

Any time throughout the day that you become aware of a crisis or conflict anywhere in the world, or a fear thought or challenging feeling in relation to anywhere in the world, or anyone in the world, repeat with your heart, silently,

  • May all beings who are far from me be safe and happy and healthy, and may they live at ease.

Repeat inwardly until you feel ease melt into you and hardness melt away from you.
